Announcing the New PAA President – Dr. Alicia Damiano

The Placenta Association of the Americas (PAA) is delighted to announce Dr. Alicia Damiano as our new President. A leading researcher in placental biology and maternal–fetal health, Dr. Damiano brings extensive experience in international collaboration through her active roles in SLIMP and the International Federation of Placenta Associations.

As PAA President, Dr. Damiano will champion mentorship, regional engagement, and research excellence across the Americas. We warmly welcome her leadership and look forward to an exciting new chapter for the PAA community.
